  Emerging rare earths developer, Greenland Minerals and Energy (ASx: GGG) has released an interim Pre-Feasibility report indicating the Kvanefjeld Project in Greenland would have free cash flow of US$8.9 billion over the 23 year mine life, if developed.

  Greenland government reforms boost Greenland miners to accelerate their projects. Greenland wants to exploit its mineral wealth to diversify its fishing-reliant economy and ultimately support independence from its from Denmark. GGG showing strong potential in high demand uranium, but even more crucially in rare earth elements.
 
Attached is another article on the sudden significance of REEs. Notably, this if from a Dutch newspaper and casts the story in a European light. It says Europe has no rare earth resources, and obviously Greenland comes under broader European jurisdiction. Highlights the need to get the project on the map in Europe. I know this is all obvious, but articles such as this provide a perfect entry for the worlds biggest Rare Earth Elements project, that is not in China.
 

Greenland – the land of mineral opportunities.  Very positive development of mineral licence interests, mineral licences have tripled. Australian companies like Greenland Minerals are involved in advanced projects covering lead and zinc, zirconium, niobium, Platinum Group metals, gold and other commodities.
The Greenland Day meeting will take place on February 25, 2010 at the Perth Sheraton Hotel. Get acquainted with the Greenlandic geology, the mineral potential, the operating conditions in Greenland. The first announcement was received positively by the exploration and mining industry.

The government of Japan would assist companies in buying the rights to mine rare earth minerals wherever they are up for grabs.
