Greenland Minerals and Energy Ltd (“GMEL” or “the Company”) is pleased to advise that it has appointed Mr. Garry Frere as Commercial Manager. Garry is a marketing economist with over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. He has held a wide range of commercial roles and has extensive experience in the international marketing of, and business development for, bulk commodities, diamonds and technology. Before joining GMEL Garry was a principal in a company providing boutique consulting services to small cap mining companies. In his new role, Garry will be responsible for managing commercial, marketing and legal issues for GMEL.
The appointment of a new commercial manager is part of the process of expanding the Kvanefjeld project team. Kvanefjeld is recognized as one of the world’s most significant resources of rare earth elements in a deposit that is also enriched in uranium and zinc. In 2011, feasibility work programs on the Kvanefjeld multi-element project are increasing significantly, and the Company is actively expanding its technical and commercial capacity. GMEL has been permitted by the Government of Greenland to conduct all necessary studies to evaluate a multi-element mining operation at Kvanefjeld. These studies, including environmental and social impact assessments, collectively form the definitive feasibility study.
Greenland Minerals and Energy Ltd welcomes Garry Frere to the team.
